ART & SCIENCE COLLABORATIONS, INC. (ASCI)

Art &Science Collaborations, Inc. (ASCI) is a not-for-profit organization of international scope whose purpose is to raise public awareness about artists and scientists using science and technology to explore new forms of creative expression, and to increase communication and collaborations between these fields.

Founded in 1988 by its current Director, Cynthia Pannucci, Art & Science Collaborations, Inc. (ASCI) was one of the first art & technology members' organizations in the USA. Established primarily as a network for artists who were doing kinetic, light art and other electronic forms and found themselves locked-out of the mainstream gallery/museum world. ASCI's support network quickly became a magnet for some of the best examples of this type of contemporary art. In 1998 with its first ArtSci symposium, its focus broadened to include those artists who wished to collaborate with scientists and technologists. Currently it is actively outreaching to the science, technology and humanities communities with the ArtSci2001 and the ArtSci INDEX [online research tool].

ASCI services and projects include: the monthly ASCI e-BULLETIN; the ASCI website; exhibition, commission, and publication opportunities; public symposia; events; and new projects under development. Contact us if you'd like to discuss partnership opportunities.

Please explore the ASCI website where you will find archived project, exhibition, symposia information, links to memebers homepages as well as "resources" to the field, and much more.
