Art &Science Collaborations, Inc. (ASCI) is a not-for-profit
international
organization whose purpose is to raise the public
awareness of art and
artists using science and technology to
explore new forms of creative
expression.
Founded in 1988, Art & Science Collaborations, Inc.
(ASCI) was one of the
first art & technology members'
organizations in the USA. Established
primarily as a
network for artists who either use or are inspired by
science
and technology, ASCI has become a magnet for some of the best
examples of this type of contemporary art and for those wishing to
collaborate. ASCI services and projects include: the
weekly online ASCI
BULLETIN; the ASCI Website at:
www.asci.org ; exhibition, commission, and
publication
opportunities; public symposia & events; access to technical
collaborators; an extensive slide and video tape file for use
by curators
and writers; public presentations of members' work
at universities,
conferences, festivals.
ASCI MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION.
Another up-coming ASCI project, LIGHTFORMS'98, an international
competition
and exhibition of light art, will be co-produced
with the New York Hall of
Science. Three monumental,
site-specific, and interactive works will be
installed in their
Great Hall, April 16 - May 31, 1998. ASCI may be
