AT&T
As a company that represents innovation, diversity, and access to communication, AT&T arts support focuses on new work, encouraging diverse voices, and mobilizing new technologies. In arts and technology, this commitment to new work has resulted in projects ranging from Experiments in Art and Technology (EAT), co-founded by AT&T Bell Laboratories scientist Billy Kluver and artist Robert Rauschenberg in the 1960s, to AT&T: New Experiments in Art & Technology (AT&T: NEAT), launched in 1993. AT&T: NEAT was designed to investigate the ways in which the intersection of art and science can be mobilized to pique curiosity about science among young people. Through AT&T: NEAT, AT&T has funded Ron Kuivila's Singing Shadows, a permanent, interactive light and sound installation at the NY Hall of Science and Lumiere Fantastique and Sculpture de Lumiere, two kinetic sculptures at CitŽ des Science et de L'Industrie in Paris, France.
