~ Open Call for the  International Kinetic Art Competition will award cash prizes for kinetic sculpture [any size] and announced at the conference [you do not have to attend]; Submission Deadline: Jan.17, 2013.
 
~Open Call to Kinetic Artists to participate in the 2013 International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium, February 8 - 10, 2013 in Boynton Beach, Florida. This first biennial kinetic art event has many components that will take place throughout the year.
 
~ "The Islands of Benoît Mandelbrot: Fractals, Chaos, and the Materiality of Thinking" exhibition focuses primarily on the work of Benoît Mandelbrot (1924–2010), one of the most notable mathematicians of the twentieth century, this exhibition explores the role of images in scientific thinking; thru January 27, 2013, the Focus Gallery at Bard College Graduate Center, NYC.

~ Call for Papers for 3rd International Conference on Arts and Technology, "ArtsIT 2013: Working for the Artists," March 21-23 2013; University of Milano-Bicocca, DISCo, Milan, Italy.
