2002: Collaboration is rapidly becoming the hallmark of the 21st century. The ArtSci INDEX was designed to be a user-friendly, online research tool with searchable database and special matching function designed to assist individuals around the world in finding appropriate collaborators for projects of mutual interest.
NOTE: Because most artists [and scientists] have their own websites now, and those artists that want to collaborate with scientists are already good researchers, we have found the artists contact the scientists directly, share their work and why they hope to collaborate... with lots of success!
Also, because real-time interactivity has become a viable component of much Internet activity, ASCI has discontinued the ArtSci INDEX. We will start holding ASCI Meetings in a Second Life "discussion forum" for the purpose to nurturing collaborations between artists, scientists, technologists, and those in the humanities. An ASCI Board member and artist, Flash Light, will be a friendly "guide" to anyone with questions
