Drawings "#53" and "#76" are from an ongoing series entitled "The Desire for Wholeness," which I began at the end of 2002. Preceding thoughts and words, these recent images emerged as a shift in consciousness. They are a significant change from earlier work that concentrated on a world ruled by forces of disintegration. Beginning with a blank screen, I draw in the computer, reaching through cyberspace to make direct connection with what I am creating, working with complete attention. Continuous flow, unbroken movement, traces of transformation: narratives of wholeness: an ending of fragmentation. An ending of fear. A tomorrow of total awareness.
