Three Callas, 2005; 11" x 18", archival inkjet on paper
Artist Statement:
I took one exquisite calla and muted the background to prevent any distraction while maintaining a hint of leaves in the background to prevent the space from flattening. I then duplicated the calla according to the "golden proportion" of 1 to .618 - found in nature everywhere from sunflowers to nautilus shells.
