GLASP
AN OPEN INVITATION !!!
This year, in conjunction with the ArtSci2002 Symposium:
New Dimensions in Collaboration, ASCI will begin to create a
"Global Listing of ArtScience Practice" (GLASP).
We anticipate this online listing will:
become an invaluable resource archive for artists, scientists, curators,
writers, scholars, and worldwide event organizers interested in artscience
practice; help create an historical context for this nascent field; and
provide cohesion and visibility through the organization of information
into an easily accessible, central information hub.
The archive will have seven categories:
- artsci collaborative projects;
- artsci curriculum (for any age level);
- artsci groups, books & research papers
- annual artsci events (festivals);
- artsci funders to the field.
Professional consulting resources will eventually be a paid listing. After ArtSci2002 is over, GLASP will join the
ArtSci INDEX at the ASCI website as another online research tool for nurturing
the field of artscience practice.
We anticipate that the ArtSci2002 symposium website will receive from
100,000-200,000 page requests which will help "kick start" GLASP by providing visibility to our invitation to help us build the listing's
information database. [NOTE: for the purpose of this listing, "technology" is considered part of science.].
