Don Mender



Donald Mender has been creatively active in both the arts and sciences for more than three decades. He is a practicing physician with an M. D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and clinical specialty certification in both neurology and psychiatry. He has served on the faculties of both Cornell University Medical School and New York University School of Medicine. He is a national Executive Council member of the Association for the Advancement of Philosophy and Psychiatry and co-moderates the online Quantum Mind Digest sponsored by the University of Arizona. He has also authored numerous scholarly works, including The Myth of Neuropsychiatry (Plenum, New York, 1994, 288 pp.). He is also an award-winning pastel portrait artist who describes his images as "psychoanalysis without words."
