Louis Visentin




LOUIS VISENTIN is a Professor of Biology and the Vice-President Academic of the University of New Brunswick. A University of Michigan graduate, he was a research scientist with the National Research Council of Canada , a Dean and a VP at several Canadian Universities and published extensively in cell biology/molecular genetics. His works of art and poetry have been been shown in Ottawa , Montreal, Fredericton and St. John's and include: ink drawings for Poet, Clive Doucet's, "Beyond Star Wars" ( Black Swan Press) ; science poems in " Tracing One warm Line", an anthology of Canadian poets (Breakwater Books); T.V. Productions on "the Great St. John's Fire" ; a recent collaboration and exhibition in Montreal and Fredericton, with his son, Montreal artist Patrick Visentin, entitled, "ART@SCIENCE.137 ; and a "Leonardo project" collaboration with multimedia artist, Muray Linton, and UNB Gallery Director, Marie Maltais, called " Pieces of Pi".
