Artist Statement: The two pictures shown here are somewhat older works. Maker is from 1992 and Spare was made in 1995. Maker was originally printed larger, the main figure being about life size. Iāve made new prints of each for Digital Ī01.
The two works depict individuals who have been created or recreated by themselves or others. They present alterations and recombinations of figures and forms. DNA is an element in each. I have used some of the same parts in both.
