Artist's Statement

These pictures are from a series about the eye as a place of habitation. The eye is a small enclosure that can be observed as well as a place from which to see, a closed space that is also open for imaginative projection. I attempt to make images that show how seeing is ultimately an act of dwelling in the worlds we make for ourselves.
