Artist's Statement

The process of my work begins with researching consumer material. I select maps or diagrams that either direct further consumerism (such as food chain maps) or represent consumer patterns (such as airline travel patterns or cellular phone maps). I search for institutional and commercial material that have organ-like structures and biological-type processes. In the final works, I examine and represent the material as a bio-molecular model.
