Daria Dorosh - Forest Hills, New York

"Continuum," 18" x 38" x 4", Epson 1160 print, 2001

Artist Statement:

"Continuum" is one of eight digital prints on paper in the "LOOP" series. Both sides of the paper have a photographic image, and an interaction is staged between them. The theme is counterpoint: endings and beginnings, extinction, and residue. The 2-dimensional plane of paper becomes 3-dimensional sculpture, peeled away to reveal possibilities of meaning between the images on each side.
