   Philippine bloggers with fisher leaders & fisher children

Our Philippine bloggers were especially devoted, under the enthusiastic leadership of Esperanza [Jaja] Danao, CRMIC Coordinator [Coastal Resource Management Interpretive Center] for the Local Government Unit of Masbate City.  Jaja took them on a field trip to a small fishing village over an hour away, so they could meet with a fisher leader and interview fisher children who have had to drop-out of school so they can fish all-day in order to provide protein [fish soup] for their families.  And, the bloggers heard stories about fathers having arms blown-off from the destructive fishing practices of dynamiting their ocean reefs.
