Rui Pedro Fonseca, born on 11th June 1979, in Porto, Portugal, is a Ph.D researcher working in the area of sociology of art and culture in Facultad de Bellas Artes Universidad del País Vasco, and he is also associated with the Sociology Institute of Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto.
He started his academic activity in 2006 participating in seminars and international conferences, having also publications in scientific journals and others.
He has also been working as an activist artist concerning gender, politics, and environmental issues. Below are some project highlights and contributions:
"Barbarybarbyzation" exhibit at Por amor à Arte Gallery (2006/2007); Prespectógrafo, Tomar (2008); Cerveira Bienal (2007); Exteril Gallery (2008); Espaço Plano B (2007); Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto (2007).
