SHEEP OF MANY COLORS: Work by Terry Gips, March 1-24, Sarah Doyle Gallery, Brown University, 25 Benevolent Street, Providence, RI. The exhibit continues Gips’ “Dolly Project” which began over 10 years ago in response to the cloning of Dolly the sheep. Much has happened in the cloning world since then but Dolly remains an important marker. “My fascination with sheep in all their variety, my love of the pastoral environments where most flocks of sheep are found, and my concern about losses to the gene pool and the number of species of sheep is explored with new and old works in this exhibition. A page focused on the show is under construction at http://www.coldmeadow.com/index.html.
